Mr. Malatesta has practiced law since 2007 with a focus on all civil litigation and complex business litigation. He has significant experience in consumer fraud cases, dispute resolution and business counseling.  Large and small businesses retain his services as general counsel for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: legal advice\consultation, drafting and reviewing contracts, company changes, litigation, collection work, trademarking, and negotiation.  Many non-business clients retain Mr. Malatesta for a variety of different disputes, including cases that involve complex or uncommon legal issues.

Prior to joining Mattleman, Weinroth & Miller, Mr. Malatesta had an extensive litigation background, handling personal injury lawsuits including, construction injuries, slip and falls, wrongful death and motor vehicle accidents throughout New Jersey. He has previously clerked in Philadelphia where he drafted pleadings for civil rights violations matters and personal injury cases. He also worked for the City Attorney’s office in Camden, New Jersey. While in Law School at Rutgers, he focused on litigation, practical skills and writing. Mr. Malatesta also participated in Hunter Moot Court and obtained 18 writing credits, where only six were required.  This strong writing background has contributed to drafting strong legal briefs.

Mr. Malatesta is an avid athlete and participates in flag football, running and long distance bike riding.  He often takes cases pro bono to serve clients without the means to obtain equal access to justice.  Mr. Malatesta takes a client first approach where strong communication and customer service are foundations of his practice.
